Welcome to Foundations Tutoring,
I am an experienced tutor who can teach the material and testing skills needed to succeed. Assistance is available in physics, general and organic chemistry, biochemistry, calculus and the following standardized exams: MCAT, AP, GRE, ACS, MTEL, BMCT.
Meetings are held from the comfort and safety of your home, via Skype, with the aid of a large chalkboard and HD-camera to provide absolute audio and video clarity. This format gives meetings the look and feel of live classroom lectures.
During our initial talk, we can discuss my services and fees and your background and goals. We can then setup a satisfaction-guaranteed first meeting.

MCAT STUDENTS – This exam is challenging for two reasons: it is comprehensive, requiring a firm understanding of many fundamental science concepts; it is focused on problem solving and reasoning, not rote memorization. The exam is structured this way to train you to assimilate a variety of information and quickly develop an informed, reasoned solution. This is precisely what a physician must do.
During our lessons, we’ll cover any concepts you may be lacking and hone your ability to approach problems in a structured, targeted manner. Beyond that, we’ll practice time management, how to eliminate 2 of 4 answers, and the arithmetic and algebra shortcuts required for calculation-based problems.
Students looking to finalize their studies, and button-up last minute issues in the final 2-4 weeks, can see increases in their CP/Bio-BCHM scores of 3 or more points. Students at the start of their studies, and looking to cover foundational material and strategy over the course of 3-4 months, can see increases of 10 or more points.

AP STUDENTS – Parents, whether your child is homeschooled or taking their course in-school, I can strengthen their skills, fill in gaps, or teach the course in full. The assigned/recommended material from College Board is very good but often difficult for first time physics, chemistry, and calculus students. We can cover this material together, and any additional content, to ensure your child is proficient in the required topics.
